Hello and welcome. My name is Leemor and I am a UX Design and Research leader and practitioner.

/lee-MORE/ (she, her)

I build camaraderie at organizations for human-centered product development and I evangelize its value through both bottom-up and top-down approaches. I specialize in transforming complex healthcare scenarios into elegant, clean, and simple experiences for patients, clinicians, and staff. I grow and mature UX teams through a culture of inclusiveness, empathy, collaboration and feedback.

About Me

My approach to leading teams and building successful human-centered products comes down to three principles:

  1. Build trustful relationships through active listening and respectful communication

  2. Cultivate growth mindset through curiosity, self-awareness and feedback

  3. Delivery quality through collaboration and data-driven decision making

I have worked in both start-up environments where I was the only UX practitioner taking products from 0-1, to where I was leading UX for products for businesses that had highly-mature design organizations. I have grown and managed cross-functional UX teams between 5-10 practitioners at a time (designers, researchers, content strategists, technologists). I evangelize UX by building trust in 1:1 relationships as well speaking to large-scale audiences about the foundations, values, and tangible wins and competitive advantages of human-centered iterative product development.

I have practiced product design as a consultant and as an in-house designer for over 12 years across the healthcare, education, nonprofit, and finance industries. I’ve spent the last 5+ years developing oncology-related digital products, specializing in clinical trials. My management style can be described as down-to-earth, transparent, and growth-focused. I help my team identify their strengths and opportunities for growth, and I coach each individual in creating a personalized plan to enable their career development.

I currently live in Brooklyn, NY. Aside from focusing on UX and clinical trial product development, I enjoy scuba diving, electronica music production, and tasting my way through the ever-evolving Brooklyn restaurant scene.

Testimonials

Working with Leemor and seeing how the Digitized Clinical Trial work has progressed, this has been the best example of design thinking and partnership I’ve seen thus far, and I make an effort to talk about it to everyone I can.”
— Justin McManus, Senior Product Manager, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Leemor personally mentored me and other clinicians brilliantly to better understand software design to more than a cursory level; this allowed our team to be more adroit at team meetings. As part the design team within a technology organization, Leemor’s versatile skills and breadth of knowledge are invaluable.
— Mehool Patel, Associate Chief Medical Officer for IBM Watson Health Oncology and Genomics
Leemor is a fantastic team member; her skills as a designer will continue to evolve as she is a forever learner and forever in the pursuit of discovering more. Her skills as a team member whom I can count on to show up and hold me and our team accountable is both brave and vulnerable.
— Jodi Cutler, Design Principal & Practice Lead of IBM Watson Health
I had the pleasure of working closing with Leemor as the Lead Designer in my team. While I led product, Leemor, myself and our lead developer built a strong relationship to push the product forward and create a strategic roadmap balancing resource capacity with priorities and expected customer adoption. Leemor helped spread the culture of “listening to our users” first while balancing the needs of the business.
— Fred Azar, Product Owner of IBM Watson Health Oncology
Thank you for EVERYTHING!! You set the bar so high for how I believe leaders could lead, how to think critically, and how a design team could operate. The standards you inspired me to meet will serve as a rubric in my design process and guide me in becoming a respectable practitioner of design.
— DJ Wooster, Product Designer, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Leemor took our mobile app UI/UX from wireframes to world class in no time. She’s as talented, reliable and easy to work with as it gets. We won’t hesitate to hire her again and neither should you!
